Rev. James Buttram Jr. - Pastor
Pastor Jim is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was raised in the Cumberland Presbyterian
traditions. He has served over 30 years as a Lay Pastor, Youth Director (in the Cumberland
Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian USA church, and the Southern Baptist church) and ordained
elder in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He has served as Associate Pastor at Red Bank
Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Rev. Buttram has B.S. degree from the University of Tennessee and a Masters of Divinity from
Memphis Theological Seminary.
Rev. Buttram retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority after 26 years of service as an
Organizational Development Consultant. He retired in 2004 to pursue a full time ministry in the
church in 2004.
Rev. Buttram has been married to Mary Bond Buttram for 38 years. He has three children,
Elise Randolph, Chris Buttram, and Candace Selby, and six grandchildren.

as their Lord and Savior. Whether it be spiritual or physical, I have a great passion to serve
people by helping them in their times of need. I serve a living Savior and desire to share God’s
love and hope with as many people as I can."
Carol Williams - Church Secretary
Carol Williams has been the church secretary at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Oak
Ridge since November of 2003. She is formerly of Wheaton, IL and had the same position at
Wheaton Christian Reformed Church for years.
Carol is the mother of three adult children and the grandmother of two.
Jean Stone - Director of Music
Graduate of Gallatin High School and Western Kentucky University. Studied piano at
Ward-Belmont Conservatory for six years prior to college.
Retired public music teacher with Anderson County Schools and former business owner in
Oak Ridge. Began church music at age 13.
Currently serve on the board of Methodist Medical Center Foundation, Clinch River Home Health,
Altrusa International. Formerly served on board at : Trinity Methodist Church, Aid To Distressed
Families of Anderson County, Emory Valley Center, Oak Ridge Woman's Club, and Pilot Club of
Oak Ridge.
Marge Kientz - Organist
Native of Indiana. Graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University and Ball State University.
Retired Teacher/Librarian. Moved to Tennessee in 1999.
Organist at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Oak Ridge since 2000.
